If you are moving for the first time, or if you have been through this time before, consider some tips we have selected to make this process more peaceful and enjoyable. Paper and pen in hand, boxes and suitcases ready, and at work.
Time is everything: think ahead
Not all changes can be made long in advance. Sometimes unforeseen events end up speeding up the process. Either way, the more time you have to think through all the details, the better. A good tip is to create a calendar, with dates for the completion of each task. You can use an app like Google Calendar to help you.
Before the move
Before D-Day, you should allow at least a week to pack things up in your current home. Ideally, you should set aside a day for each room, so that you have time to review all the items and put them away neatly. Also plan a day to do a general cleaning or a cleaning in your current residence it is also an important time to make sure you do not forget anything.
Transport: recruiting companies or people
When transporting your belongings, you have at least two options: make the move independently or call on a specialized company. Both are great options, but it all depends on your situation. If you are moving alone, call on your family or friends if not, hire a carrier.
After the move
After you've transported most of your items to your new home, be sure to set dates and actions to improve your home as well. Buying additional items, transporting less essential items that are still in your old home, organizing each of the new rooms, are just a few of the tasks required.
